Dreaded bearing is going out resulting in vibration from 40-60ish. Unbearable. Going through the carwash does solve the issue at times. Bearing is shot. Tried a Dorman off ebay from koskowski. Nope. Not correct length. Have to ship it all the way back. Bullydriveline comes up when searching but with all the bullsht this world has to offer in the automotive industry I can't trust them either. Any ideas?

I researched this here on this forum and found these guys highly recommended: http://www.driveshaftspecialist.com/Alu ... 0Alum.html

I called and spoke to a very helpful and knowledgeable guy there a couple months ago, he said he had the measurements to do a custom one piece driveshaft but also showed a stock replacement 2-piece being available - both around $700.

I'm not sure what the advantages of a 2-piece driveshaft are. Obviously a one-piece can be lighter and have less parts to fail in the future, so why do so many manufacturers use a 2-piece design? My '90 is going to need a replacement driveshaft before too long as well, so I'm going to have to make that decision soon.

The oem splicer doesn't match up. I have a company In japan that does them for 1200$ one piece carbon fiber. Weight saving is about 23 pounds. 3 months sea shipping is 290. Plane is 580... 3 day...

Not exactly what you guys are talking about - but I vaguely remember that the 1990 drive shaft was revised in later years with a larger doughnut in the middle - so the updated mounting brackets were required when doing a driveshaft swap.

I recall replacing my driveshaft in the 94 with a used one. I didn't replace the donut.

They would have been the same by then. I don't remember when they got the updated design, but it was way before the update in '94.
