Battery in stock location 4 AWG will be fine. If you are relocating then you want to go laarger wire which is a smaller number. The farther from stock location the bigger wire you need to go.

2 AWG is bigger than 4 AWG and smaller than 0 AWG. AWG=American Wire Gauge. This web page has good information on AWG compaired to Metric wire sizes.

Alright...does that work with both positive and negative cables?

Generaly only the Positive cable as you just need to connect the Negitive to the frame near where you mount the battery.

Well, the reason I ask is because I am keeping the battery in the same place, but am changing the terminals...the thing is, I will not have enough length to just do a quick cut and mount. I will have to replace both the positive and negative cables in order to give myself enough length to properly connect to the battery.

If youare staying stock just go to your local chain auto parts store and buy the pre-made cables that will be long enough. Just mesure the length you have and add a little. The molded on connectors are much better to use they provide the best connection.

When you connect the ground wire to the car be sure to clean the mounting location. A dirty ground connection, even if it is tight, can cause a lot of problems that are hard to figure out.
