I have been looking for a 2+2 5 speed but have come across a 1990 automatic. I can't remember if the early automatics had more problems with them than the later models. True or false? The car has 135,xxx on it. I have not driven it yet but looks to be in very good shape from the pictures.
Thanks in advance
Tim

I haven't heard any significant difference between early and later model transmissions...I haven't heard much about them in general though because not many members on here have them. I wouldn't be too worried though; it the transmission goes out, 5spd swaps aren't that terrible. And if you are near Charlotte, I will help out. I live in East Charlotte :)

Early Na auto's RE4R01a the little brother to the RE4R03a Nissan TT and Q45 transmission..
No problems when built hold over 600 hp on the 1a and over 1000 now on the 3a.
Actually, the later model transmission (94 up) :bigthumb: is a little better
The J30 is a NA with the better build....
