Hey guys, im looking for a new ride. Im used to driving my evo, but i sold it because it was too expensive and used most of the cash to start a business. I got like 10-11k to spend on a new car and im looking at a 2000 integra GSR and some 300zxs. I wanted to ask you guys about the reliability of the car. How far can i expect the motor to go before i need to replace it etc. Just some general info would be awesome. dealing with a 2 seater as a main car might not be smart either, but hey, i think its one of the sexiest cars to be honest. Thanks!

I don't own one and haven't worked on one either, but judging from hearsay and pictures of the extremely cramped engine bay, they can't be easy (or cheap) to fix. NSR_Z32 would undoubtedly know a lot more than me though, he'll probably be along here shortly =P

They're a ***** to work on, and parts are expensive. However, the motors are very stout (although they tend to run hot which w/o proper maintenance which can lead to issues) and the cars were way ahead of their time when made and put together well.

There's a massive amount of info on this website. I suggest using the search function at the top of the page. You'll get instant results instead of waiting for answers.

I think your thread belongs in the Z forum. Would you like to have it moved there?

they're more expensive than average to maintain. and labor costs are higher. IF they are maintained well though they are decently reliable and will last a long time.

good choice - they are definitely sexy cars.

Coming from someone that owns both go for the 300. I love my teggy and its damn dependable but I like the 300 better. The teggy has 220,000 intake headers and exhaust not ricer but it gets the job done. It will beat the 300 and still get better gas milage but besides that the reason i bought the 300 was it is RWD sounds like a muscle car and its ****in hot. You also go for a suday drive and you see 100 integras 90 with exhaust and 50 with body kits. As for 300's you rarely see them and when you do it is usually stock and gorgeous. The main reason i bought the 300 was i was sick of driving a car everyone has. I love my Nissan
