Some tests show it allows 1-2 more degrees at WOT. Whether it is worth $160 extra over conventional exhaust valves or the ability to use a lower octane premium is left up to buyer.
So the benefit of the sodium valves is more efficient heat transfer? If used with 92+ octane, is the result better than that of the stock exhaust valve?
If the benefit isn't that much greater and your current exhaust valves are fine, I don't see the reason to purchase a new set of exhaust valves at the cost of OEM EV + $160.
Now, if you're rebuilding an engine and you have to purchase a new set, it wouldn't be crazy to just tack on an extra $160.
BTW, what do normal exhaust valves cost?
I tried to check the price from IOS but the site is down.
