I just picked up a beautiful 1990 TwinTurbo with 13,500 miles on it and everything is mint condition except for I have bubbles in the leather on both door panels. It looks like the glue was defective, does anyone know if this can be repaired or where I can get it replaced with a leather that will match? Do the door panels come apart so I can swap out the upper leather pieces?
Thanks.....

Welcome, and congrats finding such a low mileage Z!
Be SURE to do a thorough inspection and maintenance run on the car for maximum happiness, as despite the lack of use, time is your enemy with many of her components and many of them should be upgraded or replaced for peace of mind (120K service at minimum, injectors/harness recommended, potentially more) and maximum enjoyment of your Z.

On to your question...yes, the door panels do come apart in a way, and the vinyl can be replaced but is hard to find the correct colors. I would try an upholstery shop or possibly automotive-oriented service, and our vendor Interior Innovations has been popular for these pieces and gets great marks in all areas. The work could be done yourself if you have experience with this type of work, and the correct materials, but otherwise is best left to people who do that kind of work for the best results and a warranty. I re-did my red interior in my '90, the door panels are a serious PITA and the hardest part of the job and it lasted about a year before coming apart in some areas, needing more powerful and lasting contact cement.
