i had my 1990 300zx running for 3 days perfectly fine, today i went in the lights in the inside turned on but shut after i closed the door then i turned the lights and high beams and they both turned on. my battery is perfect. but my car wouldnt show any power. wont crank and when i "attempt" to turn the car on when the lights are on they do no dim. ( i just got new spark plugs yesterday...)

My car was doing that after I pulled the plenum. I jumped it and it worked fine.

If it happens again, check the starter by hitting it with some kind of bludgeoning device. If it starts afterwards, your problem is the starter. If you have a manual transmission, it could be an intermittent short/open condition on the clutch safety switch. Likewise, if Auto, a neutral safety switch (though the Neutral Safety Switch is not likely to fail).
