Hey I have a 1990 N/A 2+2, and I am trying to figure out what path to go down for making power(Somewhere around 300 hp to start). I am thinking of a TT swap. I know everyone is going to say just buy a TT but there aren't any for sale in my area and I love my backseat( Not to mention 3300lbs :) I was trying to find the best place to find a TT parts car, or the best place to get a front clip. I know this horse has been beat to death but I was trying to get advice for my specific situation. Thanks in advance.

Well they never made any 2+2 TT in 'merica, or never imported any. We just are not that special, or we just don't like back seats. So you need to swap in a TT engine.

Jdm engine swap is questionable, so many horror stories. If you rebuild the said JDM motor, all is good. Jdms are beat to death, actually, there is a post about this. That being said, I have a JDM engine, not rebuilt, never had an issue. It runs strong, great compression, and so on.

I got my swap done, including a 5 speed swap, for less than 5k, all the work was done myself. Some guys spend close to 10k for this swap. It gets very expensive, this is why people say to just buy a TT vs swap. A decent TT can be had 7k-12k, so you be the judge. I say it was worth it, power when I want it, need it. If I wanted to I could turn up the boost to churn out 400hp, but have the boost down and a restricted exhaust on so I could get used to the more HP and not be tempted.

Every once in a while Mark Holtzman (300ZXttZMAN) has a full TT front clip. He owns a salvage yard in Louisiana. I think he sold the last one on the Facebook parts group for like $2500 or so. PM him

Ok thanks for the advice. Any other thing to note about the swap? Am I going to need a TT fuel pump controller or just the pump? Where do I find the radiator clips for the swap?

Do not need the controller, works fine without it. Do need a TT pump though or Walbro. Clips, those you can get a conversion from conceptZ, or just make your own. You do need to either move the tabs at the bottom of the Radiator moved out or get one of these...

and these..

There is a lot to this conversion, takes quite a bit of time.

I had a feeling it was and I've made plans for her to be a garage queen for about a month. I think the end result will be worth it. Im going to keep saving and looking for a wrecked TT. And if I don't find one I'll just get a clip and plan on rebuilding it if necessary .

finding a wrecked TT that starts and runs is the BEST option but fairly rare.

Well, Four months down. Nine years, eight months to go ;) I have thought about selling and getting a TT or changing to American muscle but I love my car to much. Great Handling,Braking, and descent power. And not to mention back seats :) I have one more question, Does anyone know why the TT ways 300lb more than the 2+2 with a shorter wheel base and less seating? Does HICAS weigh that much?
