Car: 1990 Nissan 300zx 2+2 non-turbo automatic

Post

i have a 1990 300zx 2+2 non turbo, automatic, all original parts. My problem is whenever i give the car too much gas at once the engine will stall shortly after it downshifts and the car just rolls to a stop. It then takes several attempts to get the engine started again. And now my car has completely died on me and won't start. The engine turns over but it just won't start up. Has anyone had this problem b4 and could you tell me how to fix it or what might be causing the problem.

Not 100% sure but it sounds like you might not be getting enough gas. could be injectors, fuel pump, or maybe the filter. Do you have any probs with normal driving or does it seem a little more hesitant to start up lately?Edit: Since you said after it down shifts it could be something sensor wise. Sorry i know im not much help but just a few ideas.

It sound slike it could be one of three things:fuel, air or spark. I'd check all three of these and see if one isn't doing what it's supposed to be doing.

i found out the problem...CTS (cold temperature sensor) connectors for the fuel injector were badly erroded. I replaced the connectors with some stock ones ($550 total for parts) and the car runs great and doesn't die if I gun. Back on the road and kicking *** again .
