1990 300ZX Clutch Problem

Im new to owning japanese sportscars ive been in the porsche world so this is all new to me. I just purchased a 1990 300ZX N/A I need some help. I want to get a jump on the problem before the car is shipped to me.

The problem: The previous owner says its very hard to put in gear for the past 30 days or so every week it sits the clutch petal is getting weaker and weaker , clutch did not slip when the car was driven.

I was thinking its in the clutch master cylinder etc. or maybe the trans but the previous owner says the clutch petal almost goes to the floor and is very hard to get into gear. Any sugestions will be a great help. Worst case is I will have to replace the trans and clutch.

welcome to NICO!!! We're gonna try and convert you and get you to change all those cars to NISSAN but i wont hold my breath!!!!!!!

Anyway, your clutch problem, assume you've checked your MC fluid level. If thtas good and the line has been bled, id think you have some other issue.

sounds like youre not getting enough travel at the slave, most lilley some failure or leak in the hydraulic system, should be an easy fix

Need advice on 1990 300zx non turbo clutch problem. Clutch pedal to the floor. Had a very hard time to get it into gear to get back to my house. Please give my some help.

I have a 1990 300zx non turbo with a clutch to the floor. Can anyone recommend a good reliable, honest mechanic that could work on my 300zx?
