Wrong. The octane level has nothing to do with how much fuel the injectors spray, that is determined by the ecu. You won't get worse gas mileage from this.CrazedZ32Owner wrote:is it a TT??... it better not be
and if not it'll just run like crap and youll probably get even worse gas mileage because itll cause the injectors to add more fuel to compensate for the lower octane rating of the fuel..... it says premium unleaded for a reason....
i'm trying not to be an a-hole but you bought a Z32 should have looked before hand... DD you're infinity if need be and only drive the Z on nice days maybe like 2-3 times a week.... i have to DD my TT..... not fun on the wallet but i manage

Also almost all gasoline sold at street pumps is unleaded, does not matter what octane.
When you get to the pump you have the choices between different octane ratings, perhaps 87, 89, 91 or 93/94 depending on the availbility in your area. These cars require "premium", atleast 89 preferably 91 octane fuel, in order to combat detonation, as they have been designed with this fuel they can and will run on a lower octant but can trip the detonation sensor which will cause you to run poorly.
Umm... not to be offensive in any way, but that doesn't make much sense at all. There are a ton of different reasons why a car won't start. Simply using 91/93/94 octane premium fuels will not cause a car to not start. Time diminishes all things on a vehicle. If the fuels contained a certain percentage of ethanol, like they all do now, that might be a cause for faulty injectors, which then lead to no starting. Can't really just blame the use of premium fuel on a car not working.300zxcanyondrifter wrote:I won't use Unleaded fuel just Premium. I decided Im going to sell my car
anyway, I dont even use it.
My uncle would always use Premium in his Escort
until one day his car didnt start no more, all
because he used Premium.
