1990 300zx brake light relay location

ok so after looking on here i figured out that my brake light relay was bad. the 3rd brake light come on but none of the others. i pulled the tail light panels and tried to find the green relay box and it just isnt there! can someone help? i need to get this fixed before i get a ticket!

the only place I have ever heard of it being (from factory) is attached the back side of the driver side (USDM) taillight right behind the trim panel, same trim panel you would use to access the light to change bulbs.

Sometimes it can work its way to the driver side rear quarter panel. Mine was just kinda dangling around in there before I found it and secured it.

Oh, and it's not always green. I've seen yellow, orange, and brown as well.
