1990 240sx with ka24de swap wont charge

ok i have a 240sx with a ka24de out a 92 and the problem is that the alt wont charge the batt. i replaced alt, batt, and the fuse and checked everything over even wiring. i can charge the bat and run it for about 3 hours after that it run like poop, due to the low batt. the crazy thing is it will run with the batt unhooked not the best tho im a little lost.

could it be the starter dieing?
will that drain the batt? and or make the alt not work rite?

Sounds like you have a bad ground somewhere. Check the little nut on the back of the alternator, your battery ground, etc.

ok the batt ground goes oly to the fender found it under the fuse box.... which was full of tape. same for alt ground
