1990 240sx TRANS SHIFT PROBLEMS-MAJOR!

I have a 1990 Nissan 240sx. I had delayed shifting problems a couple months ago. I was told it was the sylenoids, so I had them changed...as well as the throttle position sensor (with adjustment). These two things actually made my transmission worse! Now, it shifts hard (jerks) into 2nd and 3rd gear..and revs over 5500 in 3rd...will not go into overdrive for anything..even if i take my foot off the gas and step on it....did some adjustments on the distributor and the TPS and nothing seems to be helping..please help...its been a 2 month nightmare!
