im doing an SR swap in my 240 (i know, how original) but its a SOHC

can anybody tell me whats the best way to go about making the tach signal and power steering work? they say you can modify the power steering lines, but im not familiar with how to do that

thanks for any advice you may have

You need the tach from the DOHC, you can swap just the tach or the whole gauge cluster. As for the ps lines, you need them from the dohc as well. Then it's all plug and play.

is there any particular place to get those from? thats not something you can find everyday. i saw a place on FRSport.com that sells new power steering lines for SOHC to DOHC but they are 340$

now i also heard that you can just install a new tach, like a 5" autometer? that will work too right?

you can always buy an aftermarket tach, but wouldn't you want to make it all look stock? looks dope stock, clean.

yea, it doesnt really matter to me, i did find a thread on here that claimed if you splice into the yellow wire with red strip (TAM) on your gauge cluster and tap into the positive wire on the coil on the DOHC it will work as well.

do you think this will work?
