1990 240sx sr20det: Brake lights wont turn off Radio wont come on help plx

i've just installed a boost gauge and i wired it to the illumination switch, days later my radio stopped working and the battery died because the brake lights were on and wouldnt turn off. i have since disconnected the boost gauge thinking this caused problem but it still remains

i have checked all relays/fuses they are all in good condition, i've check the stop light switch under the break pedal and when i disconnect it is only time the break lights go off i have an mp3/cd player that is installed and it is wired correctly but wont turn on now

i have checked most grounds and all seem to have good resistance around 1 to 2 ohms

what could be causing the lights to stay on and radio to not work if its simply just the stop light switch at the pedal why is it that the radio wont work ?

just take the stop lamp swithc out, and make sure that you lose/gain continuity (when the button is pressed in youll have no continuity, when its released you will have continuity...)

checked switch works when pressed fully in just needs readjustment after all these years i guess no word on radio yes batt needs recharge
