Hey guys, need help with this one, beyond my scope.just had engine rebuilt. mechanic refuses to help with this issue.anyway i just had my engine rebuilt after a blow. after all is said and done the engine runs again, revs fine and everything, mech says all boost leaks were fixed and has good compression and pressure. however, when under load or in gear and driving, the car will not accelerate even with pedal to the floor. it is inconsistent as well, sometimes will accelerate better than other. found best acceleration results when feathering the gas, barely pushing the pedal at all. on a side note, the engine does not cut off immediately after turning ignition off. runs a couple seconds then sputters out. any help at all with this problem would be greatly appreciated.

JGY customs is terrible.

I dont know of any factory 1990 240's that were boosted so I am guessing here you have either a different engine or a custom set up on the factory engine. In either case your accel symptoms sounds like a bad airflow meter or a sizable airleak between the airflow meter and the throttle body when the engine torques. Usually caused by a split in the intake boot or a loose clamp holding it on. As far as the run on engine I am not sure as it could be related to the custom set up.
