Alright, I finally heard back from the shop... and they found what was the problem! yay! (now only if I would have been able to find it, I would have saved myself close to $200 in labor)

From the short phone conversation that I had w/ them today apparently the problem was a combination of: distributor cap, rotor, plugs (b/c they were coated in carbon since the problem occurred), and plug wires (though I bought new ones they have NGK wires - figured that I want to get them on there anyway, so why not now)

They also found that one or some of my injectors were improperly wired (??) It wouldn't surprise me if the previous owner did something to them since the rubber boots were dry-rotted and basically gone before I got the car (and covered in electrical tape)... only thing is that I've owned the car for almost 5 years and nothing seemed to act funny - even if they were improperly wired (either that or maybe they just had a weak connection so they rewired them... eitherway, it works!)

I'm going to be picking it up tomorrow and I'll get the specifics of everything that they fixed and I'll post it back up here! Thanks for your support and help guys!

The car runs wonderfully now... apparently the distributor rotor was shot... I never thought that something like that could cause the problems that I had... good to know for the future...
