I just can't seem to pinpoint the problem. It will crank, but only for about 5 seconds and then dies instantly. At one point it seemed to be running fine but then the next morning i started her up and then when i was driving i would push on the accelerator but nothing would happen for about two seconds then it would accelerate then eventually it would die when i came to a stop. When i try to crank it back up the engine would turn but not start. I recently installed new distributor cap and rotor, spark plugs, wires, fuel injectors and o-rings, fuel pump, removed the AIV, fuel filter, i also replaced the power steering lines, not that has anything to do with it. I put a new valve cover gasket too. I'm thinking it could be a few things just not sure. HELP!!!!!

have you checked your timing to see if it'll at least start up? Have you checked your IACV? Have you pulled your spark plugs to see if any of them have damage from possible internal damage?

I haven't checked the timing yet...still trying to figure that part out. I heard you have to disconnect your tps first, then do soemthing with the distributor? Not sure..maybe someone can help with that part. As far as the IACV goes i'm not to sure where that located. I did pull the spark plugs saw some black carbon looking stuff on the tips of them...is that normal? I'm getting a FSM soon to help me with all of this too..

well i got my FSM today...it's definitley a very good tool to have. First thing in the morning it's off to see if i can start my car. Does anybody know if a way to fix your timing without a timing light?

took about a week but i finally figured out was was wrong. Turns out that the harness to my fuel injector #1 was all screwed up. Did some splicing and cutting and stuff fixed the problem right up.
