Why not? If you take your time and do it right its completely worth the $50~ it costs.ZX88 wrote:why would you rattle can your car.
It is perfectly acceptable to read before you post.White Comet wrote: i have all the supplies from du pont for daytona blue, so that will come later.
no it looks like s*** cause most people don't know how to paint. i understand spray painting say a center garnish or something small like a lip but a whole car. its become typical wit the 240 crowd i guess which is pretty lame.DirtyGhettoKids wrote:Why not? Yes it is typical... BUT it beats paying $1000~ when I have no money. I would have just kept my car the factory red it is but I'm doing body work and cancer removal, etc. and I would rather not roll around with patches.ZX88 wrote:

What a hater, not all of us have money to drop on a legit paint job. Rattle can paint hob beats patches of bondo everywhere all day everyday.ZX88 wrote:why would you rattle can your car.
lol hater. you guys are funny. ill agree with you its better than patches of bondo.carkook wrote:

umm, not only did i already say i just want to touch up sections (not the whole car) but as diggles pointed out, i have $650 worth of daytona blue supplies. its fine if you want to debate rattle can paint jobs, but do it in the multiple threads created for them, not here.ZX88 wrote:

hmmm, any more details and can you post some pics so i can see how it matches the original paint? thank youpandapants wrote:whatever they sell at home depot is the closest thing i found. that's what i used on my headlights, both front and rear bumpers.
wow talk about one sexy ride bud where you get that lip from? also was wondering the size of your rims in the front? will sport max xxr 962 (18"x8.5....215/35R fit for the front without spacers??) thankspandapants wrote:
These are what i have on my comp right now. Ill try to take closer ones when the sun comes up. The stock red paint is a little more "orange" than home depots rustoleum(sp) stuff. The headlights shine more than the bumpers, I guess 'cause it was on metal instead of plastic. The parts were painted with very little effort and prep but I thought it came out pretty darn good for my first try.
edit: i think it looks better than having different color body parts
i have a compressor and a paint gun. learn to read though, and you'll see why i'm not "doing things right" with the red color. terrible first post btw.T1ghtJDMDRIFT wrote:
As for the paint, buy a compressor and a gun and do things right...
