New Buyer with questions.

I just bought a 1990 240sx and I am looking to make performance upgrades. I know that in 1991 nissan changed the engine from 12 valve single overheadcam to a 16 valve duel overheadcam increaseing the power. My question is weather or not you can still buy a new 91' engine for the 90' and use the same trany and motor mounts and the price. Also I would like to know if simple upgrades like intake and headers from a 91' will fit on a 90'.

Any answers will be valued.

Ok, let me sort this out.Yes you can put the KA24DE in a Pre-91 car, however there are wiring issues and the like. Motor mounts will work. Everything else I would pull from teh car you are getting the DE from to make sure it all works. The same tranny will work. Intake and headers from a SOHC will not fit the DOHC.
