My engine was running fine,it only has 50k on the original motor.i decided to get new plug wires. i went with some Bosch ones. after i hooked them up,the car started up weird. it would bog then jump up to 900rpm. i made sure they were hooked up correctly. i also noticed taht my engine shakes more than it usualy does, along with my exhuast. im not sure what is causing this problem. hit me back asap with some possible solutions.

i had the same problem after putting fuel injector cleaner in my engine i changed the fuel filter and injectorstry this to see if u have a dead cylinderstart ur car up and pull the plug on ur injectors if u have no change in how the engine is running u know that is a dead cylinder. from there u can pull ur plug out and see if its really black as if no fuel is going into the cylinder if so its more than likely ur injector.this is just what i did to fix mine so it may or may not work for you but its a start

Not to doubt your abilities, however if it ran great before the wire change I bet either two wires are crossed (in the wrong spot) or a wire isn't on all the way. You should be able to feel a positive lock ('snap'/'click') when they go onto the distributor cap and spark plug ends.I'd double, triple, and quadruple check these two things before moving on to something else.

yeah, took it to the dealer and it ended up being the egr vavle, it got suck open, causing it to idle like s***.it runs better than wen i bought it now.

egr delete for the win!...lots of us have deleted that pile of crap..you could have probly gotten one from a nicco head for free..minus some shippin of course..anyways..maybe later on in your car adventure..you may want to simplify the motor...air , fuel , spark is all thats needed to run a motor...everything else can be deleted or bypassed..good luck with your ride man.

thanks mann. yeah i was thinkin bout deletin it.but nowww after i got that fixed, i have ANOTHER missfire, between 1500 and 2200 rpm. and wen im just trying to cruise at a steady speed:[this is wen the engine is warm, wen its cold it seems fine.i have brand new plugs, and they are in tight enough and gapped correctly. wires seem to be good. could it be the egr vavle getting clogged up w. sumthing againn? any ideas of wut it is? thankss

thankss alot for the response. i understang what you are saying, the dealer that is looking at my car says that the exhuast ports are caboned up and causing the egr vavle to react to this, which is telling theres sumthing wrong with the engine and then the valve reacts accordingly. so in other words if i dissconnect the egr vavle and associated exhuast port hoses, then the egr valve wont receive bad info, and the engine should run better??

yeah thats too high.900 is good.you could have a throttle plate not closing or your idle air controller is stuck open.maybe a vacuum leak too. id check the O2 sensors, filters (gas and air), mass airflow sensor, charcoal canister, and pcv valve.
