1990 240sx drivers shoulder strap will not retract?

ive heard of people doing the manual shoulder belt conversion now i see why...is there a switch or ground thats failing or something thats in the door???

There is a recall out for the s13 shoulder belt. Take it to a dealer and any service consultant worth his salt will be able to get it warrantied for you.

seriously? its 17 years old!!! will they even still do anything or do you kind of have to have some connections at a nissan dealership? i will call around thank you very much so if i get stuck with this is there anyway to fix it?

You have to replace the motor assembly to resolve this issue.
