I know that the 90 240 used both Hitachi and Mitsubisi Distributors and that the caps are NOT interchangeable.

Are they interchangeable as a complete unit? Can I get a Hitachi dizy to replace a Mitsu dizy?

Why were two types used and what are the differances. would I want one over the other?

Thanks but I also have a Mitsu Dizzy.

I know the cap and rotor are differant as I got the wrong one once before I knew they used two differant ones.

Is this a US and others thing or what?

I am in the Silverado Ranch area. we should meet some day and talk 240's.

sweet, thank you, ill check for it tomorrow. i need to make sure i have the right cap and rotor but as it stands now theres a cylinder 4 misfire which appears to be fuel related. im hoping its nothing internal, although im sure the ka is MUCH simple than the S52 in my M3, that thing is a monster to work on.
