Hey all.

First off, I'm relatively new to mechanical work on my car. I've done the usual (breaks, oil, filters, alternator, etc) but never before have I tried a dash swap.

Story:1989 240sx has severe frame rot and is mechanically getting on in age and wear.

Got a 1990 240sx (all black) with 50k less mileage. Same car, different color. But, the dash has some cracks and they drive me nuts. The dash in the old 240 is without flaws. I know the process to swap them is going to be lengthy and time consuming, but what I'd like to know is if it's a difficult procedure and if there's anything I should be accutely aware of.

As always, all help is appreciated.

Thanks!

it's simple, just time consuming and some manuevering required.

search for the steps if you don't know already...

Does anyone know if the dash from a hatchback is the same for the coupe?

be careful of the vents. They're all pretty fragile and break easily.
