Hey guys, new to NICO forums. Have a 90 240Sx (5 speed). Just had a ground issue fixed last year. Now, my problem is that I have to keep walking down to my local Autozone to have my battery recharged once a week. My radio and wipers can be turned on with no key in the ignition. The clock stays on all the time, and dont know if thats normal. Ive been stumped with this constant power drain, and am at a lost. Ive checked my wiring for the head unit, and now thinking it might be the ignition relay stuck open. Any suggestions would be appreciated! Thanks guys.

Well, if I assumed it was a relay sticking then I would remove that relay and let it sit. Wait for the normal amount of time it takes for your battery to die. Or you can just go buy a battery quick disconnect and flip it when you let the car sit.

I actually found the problem yesterday. My red and yellow wires on the back of my stereo were twined together keeping a constant power source running through the car. I split the 2 using a new wiri5 harness, now everything works great. No more battery draw, wipers and radio only turn on with ignition, and the clock now finally turns off.

The Electrical Gremlin is gone. ;)
