The gauge cluster light on my 90 SX are not coming on at all with the headlights. Is there a relay i can test to see if it is defective?

check your tail fuse if its ok its robably your timer control unit in the left hand kick panel. white box behind the panel. do you know how to soilder well? if so you can fix it. if not you may want to get one from a junkyard and see if that helps.

you have a burnt trace on the circuit board coming off one of the transistor legs. if you take the unit apart and look at the side of the board that does not have components on it you should se a gray ash on one of the traces about a ½ inch long. if you clean that ash off you will see a split in the trace. If you have a digi cam take the unit apart snap a shot of the board on the none component side and post it I will highlight the area and explain how to fix it. but you need to be very steady with the iron or you could burn the board.
