My plans are as follows:

5 lug conversion17"X7" front wheels with 205/45 tires17"X7.5" rear wheels with 235/40 tires

This will be for auto-x, track, driving usage - but eventually converted to at a minimum a comp licensing car.

My question is which offsets will fit these wheels and tires under the car well. Not looking for the "magic" number but kinda a range of 2-3 offset that will work.

Can I pretty much count on any 17" wheels that are listed on TireRack for say a '95 SE to be the right fit?

With these proposed sizes would there be any limitations on coil-over selection?

For the future when more power may be in store I would also be interested in similar comparisons of:

18X8 with 225/45 (front)18X9 with 255/40 (rear)

Thanx NF.

Any coil over limitations there? And will wider fenders be needed to tuck under the current or future aspirations?

edit ps: nm on the last ? I see from your posts that the offsets are likely targetted to flush fitment. I guess now my only concern is coil over limitations.

Tein Flex fit fine with the above fitments.

30 offset and 8" wheels on a s13 may scrub the front. a 20-25mm offset would be more ideal in the front...-chet
