I am looking into buying a 1990 240 from a friend of mine. He is gonna sell it to me sans engine. I can find a ka24 pretty cheap to replace it, and was needing to knwo what kinda modifications can be made to make it run better, like the best plugs, wires, bolt-ons, that kinda thing.

Thanks

Mike

depending on your budget, the old stand by... Intake Header Exhaust ( I/H/E ) and a good tune up when it's done. After that things get really expensive, relatively speaking. While its out, replace the clutch if its a manual.

shoot if i could go back i would have swaped to the SR. yeah its not cheap, but your looking at only 1500 more then you will be spending for a mid to high miles KA or a low miles SR. i have spent way to much so far on my KA and got a ride in a pretty much stock SR and man, i starting kicking myself as soon as i got out and could reach my *** with my foot.

I must say this also, when i go turbo i will be fast (most likely faster then a SR running the same boost), but i really wont be fast tell then. and will have spent lots (and i mean lots) more money. its just cheaper to swap to the SR then build/turbo a high miles KA.
