Hello, I need a ignition switch for my 90 S-13 and everywhere I go they want to sell me the complete Key Assembly with the switch. I just need the switch. Can I buy that by itself or do I need to spend over $150 for the complete key and switch together. I have been to Napa, Car Quest, Hate to say (Auto Zone, Advanced Auto) and even the dealer. I live in New Orleans and most of the people working ar these stores do not even know what a 240 is. I have changed my starter, batt wires, blue ignition relay by the battery. It will start 50% of the time and then other times I get a click and if I keep turning the key back and forth it will start. I had a mechinic look at the switch and he said it has to be the problem and it felt very loose when the key was turned well he had a screw driver and was checking it against some chart. We even took voltage measurements at the starter wire and when it starts it gets 10-12 volts and when it makes the clicking noise and does not start it is only at 5-7 volts. At any time I can take a wire from the battery + and touch it to the selonide and it will always start so I know that is good & it is not getting the proper voltage at times and that is when I have to keep turning the key on & off fast for it to catch. It has to be the switch he said. Sorry so long but I just need to know if someone has bought just the switch and where.THANKS SO MUCH

I had the same problem that was caused by the switch. I got a new one from Advance Auto Parts. #345016 I think is their number.

It's made my GP Sorenson, I think GP's number is 3992683. It was $29.88. (I'm looking at my reciept from when I did this a couple weeks ago.)

Oh Man - I just got it at a local Nissan shop that I use a friends body shop to get a discount and it list for $73 and I got it for $58 plus 9.25% sales tax (New Orleans is the worst) so it was about $67 bucks. After buying a new starter, cable wires, new battery, Starter Relay, replaced my alarm because it had a starter kill and my problem was the switch that I thought so from the day it started acting up but listened to everybody telling me to change these parts. At least I know everything is new in the starting system and will last. I am the original owner of my 90 S-13 and plan to keep it for many years.\THANKS AGAIN

Yeah I was in the same boat. Put in atleast 3 different starters, new battery, etc. etc. I'm so happy it starts everytime now.
