1990 240 help

Information on the naturally-aspirated KA24E and KA24DE engines.

i am new so please excuse my lack of experience. this is my first 240. i traded my 88 s-10 4 it. i need help with a problem. it starts but it spits and sputters. so far ive been told possible valve problem. any other suggestions? thanks for any and all help.

Check to see your MAF is clean.

im sorry for my lack of experience, but i know its on the intake pipe. is it the large piece infront of the airbox with the wire hernesses it?

its rite where the plastic intake hooks up to the meatal intake manifold..you will see a plug from your wireing harness hookd up to it..take the plugg off and be carefull not to damage it..then remove the MAF (mass Air Flow ) sencor and inspect...good luck.
