1990 240 EBC Problem

I posted this in the 240 technical section because I was at work and in a hurry but heres my problem.

My GReddy Profec B Spec II keeps turning off when I turn on my lights. First I had it wired to the "accessory" wire that ran from my head unit, so then I moved it to the ciggarette lighter and it still does it. A while back I cut the brown wire on the popup button so that I could get sleepy eyes. Tonight I'm going to reconnect that wire, hopefully that is the problem.
