I wanted to make a little guide that explains where all the light on a 1990-1993 Q45 are located for all those that want to replace them but have no idea if there are lights there or not.

The 3 vents, Drivers left (drivers right and passengers left all light up) (AKA the center vents).

The trunk and fuel door release doesn't light up.

The seat controls don't light up for both 1990 and 1991-1993. Only the 1 and 2 memory function should light up green when pressed.

The rear defroster image and status AKA the orange bulb light up.

The side mirror controls don't light up on the mirror defroster status does.

The cruise control ON button lights up but not the OFF button.

All the radio and HVAC controls should light up.

And all the window switches all four in center console and all four on doors should light up.

The hazard and dimmer switch should light up.

the two floor lights for the drivers ans passenger side floors should light up.

The trunk should have a light as well.

The shifter letters and numbers should also light up.

All the instrument console should light up and the background as well.

The TCS (If equipped with Traction control) should light up

The CD changer in the center console should light up (If equipped with a 10 disk Sony CD changer).

The Auto Dimming mirror for a 1994 (If done so as a upgrade form the standard mirror) the Day and Auto and the selector buttons should light up.

Oblivious lights such as the door red and white lights, dome lights , map lights were left out for obvious reasons.

For any lights that i missed on the interior please list them and make this pinned for future reference to the Noobs.

Great info!

Can you tell use how long it takes on average to replace those bulbs/per part?

I really dig the red bulbs like AUDI's have, basically everything lights up red and it looks awesome. How much would the cost be? I think Ozzy has done that to his Q45.

Any soldering required?

I know for the clock, all you got to do is replace the bulbs, they screw into it.

Wow thanks I thought it sucked cause it wasn't worded in a writeup it was more of what on had on my mind like with all of my posts

But which bulbs are you referring to? "Can you tell use how long it takes on average to replace those bulbs/per part?"

I know nothing about LED's or how to use them in the Q45 sorry.

I like my car stock.

I have a 93 Q45. I've replaced all interior lighting with LED's with the exception of the gear shift. I haven't seen any sockets or wiring of my vents on the dash, what gives?

That's because, the way I figure is Infiniti Wanted to try an save money, By not putting lights in the vents (its an actual harness with sockets for the lights) they might have saved 50 cents a car maybe.

I think it was only available from 1990-1993*

Extremely early 1993 Q45 may have had them but I am unsure.

But am working on a write up for us with 1993 Q45 to make them have lights so stay tuned it should be up by tonight.

How hard was it to replace with LED's?

How does it look?
