I like the earlier front end better, with it's simplicity, and that beautiful hood emblem. I have a 1995 q45 that is so stout and in great shape and I want to try to put a 1993 front clip on.
The fenders and hood should bolt right up.
How about the headlights?
The bumper cover?

If you can get your hands on a 1st generation G50 Q45 then you can swap everything over. One of the things that you will loose is the fog lights since the 90-93s didn't include those. You will also have a bit of a mis-match with color where the lower half of the 90-93s were painted two-tone along with the bumper ribbing that wraps the car and the 94-96s were mono color scheme.

Would I only need the hood, fenders, headlights/corners, bumper, bumper support beam? , also the hood latch for the 95 should work ? Thanks for the response.

The trim on the fender will also not match the door trim. I'm not sure if the hood latch is in the same position for the later Q, but I imagine it is...

Seems like it'd be easier to get a 90-93 and put a 94 interior in it...

Good info here. I was curious about this interchange as well. Has anyone done the reverse of this? at one point I was looking into swapping a 94+ front end on to my 93. I prefer the chrome grille and the fog light look.

I can get the parts off of a 93 . Though the 93 front badge looks really good on the 95 grill. How do I post pictures here?! Haha

has potential! nice work. might be better if you could bring the badge down a little so that its not so flush with the top. might make it look a little cleaner. if you get this right many people will copy so be prepared.lol

im thinking of putting a 90-93 body kit on my 95 as well. your best bet is to keep your front end and swap the badge over.unfortunately for me the bumper i want isnt made for the 94-96 models so im going to have to cut and bondo the front end to look right

Badge def looks better lower. let us know how the end product looks if u decide. Just swapped a set of 95 tails on to my 93 and it looks amazing! just wanted to add that for those who are swapping parts. has some small issues with gappage but not too noticable.

My nephew did the same with his 90. He swapped the tail light assembly and trunk panel over from the 95. The most noticeable part is that the bottom edge of the tail lights stand out over the bumper slightly instead of flush because if you look at the car from the side you will notice the later model bumper curves up to the bottom of the tail light assembly much sooner and has a more aggressive slope and so they moved the tail light assembly out slightly more so that they were flush with each other.

Hey. So I'm picking up a 1993 front end next weekend and I'll let everyone know how it all bolts up. Also I'd like to see a pic of your 93 with 95 tails.

Ugh. Early front end is butt a** ugly. keep what you has. I literally threw EVERYTHING away from my front end. Its all a bolt on affair btw. You will come accross a few things like moldings along the fenders and bumper as well as some wiring with the headlights. Keep your tails because they look MUCH better too. The early years are ugly.
