While reinstalling a new timing chain, I move the gear/cams about an inch without the chain on.....I quickly put the gear/cams back on the "notch pointing up position" and finish the installation, is this problem???Is there a special way to verify the alignment after something like this??

I now have a leak (probably bad RTV job by me) and a very loud valve ticking ( not sure about whats causing this...) so i need to go back in there and would like to verify the alignment If I messed up.......

thanks

Check the Nissan Online Mechanic forum. Me and s13sr20chris walked him through it.
