I have a 1989 Nissan Maxima GXE with about 155k miles on it. It is my wife's daily driver and she drives some terrible roads full of potholes. The rear struts are the type with replaceable cartridges. The struts wear out after less than 7000 miles. Do I need stiffer springs to keep the struts from bottoming out and breaking? What brands and suppliers? I am also having some issues with the front suspension. The front tires are wearing out on the insides after 7-10k miles. It appears to be a camber adjustment. I have replaced struts, inner and outer tie rods, ball joints, and most bushings. Alignment done after these replacements, but still wore the tires. Is there a problem with factory camber specs that could cause this? I am tired of working on this car, but it is low mileage and a no rust body.
