I just experianced a problem with my drivers side door lock.Something in the mechanism inside must have broken or fallen off because I can't get the door to unlock. My question is, is it a big deal to get that inside door panel off? Any tricks or special tools I need?Looking at the service manuel doesn't tell me much.Thanks.

No, it's easy as cake.

There's a screw inside the handle. It's probably covered up with a little tab. Remove that screw.

The whole rest of the panel is in one piece and held on by snap tabs. Gently wedged your hand under where the window goes, and pull straight out. Or you can do it from the sides, it really doesn't matter. The hardest part is getting that first clip. After that it goes quicker the more tabs you pop out.

Oh yeah, this should help too.

Just be careful of the colored plastic tabs on the door handle, don't break those or else your metal rods that control the doors mechanisms will be really loose in there.
