YO ER. Look. the single slammer has no chance against most any car on the road. They are slow. Swap an SR and if you get beat like Xx RB xX did, then go home and kill yourself, because that shouldnt happen, O wait wait, he lost because he was in a higher gear and had to catch up, but still, why would you race in a higher gear...IDK, not judging, it is what it is.

Dont take the race unless you wanna be branded a ricer for the rest of your days. Do some work to it, make it fast, then think about racing it. The ka24e gets no respect, unless it is worked/turboed/nitrous/etc... for the simple reason that IT IS SLOW.

^ what they said.

I like my single slammer for now, but it really is slow. There is much to be desired. But I've only been driving it for a few days so it suffices.

IT WILL NOT KEEP UP. A STOCK SINGLE CAM IS SLOW. IT WILL BE EMBARRASSING FOR BOTH OF YOU BECAUSE THEY ARE BOTH SLOW. MORE EMBARRASSING FOR YOU BECAUSE YOURS IS EVEN SLOWER AND YOU WILL GET RAPED BY A SLOW CAR.

you will get owned, until you are pushing like 7-8 pounds of boost.

However tie your cars together and start doing tractor pulls you might get somewhere.

If you're going to the track, I say race him anyway. Yes, you should get beat, and anyone with any knowledge of these cars will know that.If for some reason you're able to keep up/win, bragging rights to you. When you most likely lose, don't worry about it, you're car is simply slower and there's nothing wrong with that.Just don't be stupid and talk trash or make a wager. Just go have fun.

Ahhhhh, you know what, screw it, go ahead, run him, but like Ajax said, just dont be out there talking ish and whatnot. And definately no betting. You will most likely lose and for the people that dont believe that a JDM H22 with 200 HP at the crank isnt gonna beat a car with only 140 HP at the crank, then you need to lay off the crank and get out a little.

H22AThe H22A debuted in 1993 for use in the Honda Prelude VTEC as the H22A1. Versions of the H22A would be the Prelude's signature high-performance engine worldwide until the end of Prelude production in 2001. It was also used in the 1994–1997 Honda Accord SiR and 1998–2003 Honda Accord Euro-R in Japan and Accord Type-R in the UK and Europe (however different camshafts and a different intake manifold were used in the Euro R H22A). The H22A in the Prelude Type-S, CH6 Type-R and CL1 Euro-R came with the trademark red crinkle finish valve cover.

Specifications

Bore × Stroke: 87.0 mm × 90.70 mm (3.43 in × 3.57 in) Displacement: 2,157 cc (131.6 cu in) Valve Configuration: DOHC, 16 valves, VTEC Type: In-line 4 cylinder, aluminum block and head Compression ratio: 10.0–10.6:1 (North America); 10.6–11.0:1 (Japan) Max power: 190 PS (187 hp/140 kW) @ 6,800 rpm & 152 ft·lbf (206 N·m) @ 5,500 rpm (BB4 Prelude VTEC, CD6 Accord); 200 PS (197 hp/147 kW) @ 7,000 rpm & 156 ft·lbf (212 N·m) @ 5,250 rpm (BB1/4/6 Prelude SiR's); 200 PS (197 hp/147 kW) @ 6,800 rpm & 161 ft·lbf (218 N·m) @ 5,500 rpm; 220 PS (217 hp/162 kW) @ 7,200 rpm & 163 ft·lbf (221 N·m) @ 6,500 rpm (Accord Euro-R, 92+ Prelude Type-S & 97+ Prelude SiR SpecS); H22A1 190 PS (187 hp/140 kW) @ 6,800 rpm & 158 ft·lbf (214 N·m) @ 5,500 rpm ('92-'96 USDM Prelude VTEC) Redline: 7200/7600 rpm Rev Cut: 7400/7800 rpm Engine Control System: Honda Systems PGM-FI with port fuel injection Valve Gear: Belt-driven dual overhead cams, 4 valves per cylinder, variable timing and lift 92-96 versions use closed-deck blocks with FRM liners while the 97-01 versions used open-deck blocks with FRM liners. H22A2

Found in European 4th gen Prelude BB1 (VTEC) with "black tops" and 185 bhp (138 kW) H22A4

The H22A4 is the designation of the engine used in the Base and Type-SH 97-01 Honda Prelude. This engine was the only engine released in the US model Preludes, and these are designated with the "black tops". It produces 195 PS (192 hp/143 kW) in 97-98 or 200 PS (197 hp/147 kW) in 99-01 models.

H22A5

The H22A5 could be found in 1997-1999 European Prelude VTi with "black top" and only 185 bhp (138 kW) H22A7

The H22A7 could be found in 98-02 European Accord Type-R with 212 bhp (158 kW) DIN. H22A8

This motor was only released within the 2000-2001 European versions of the Prelude and can be designated with the "red tops" and 200 horsepower (150 kW) H22Z1

This is identical to the H22A1 found in AUDM VTiR and VTiR ATTS, but with an alternatively stamped block. All post '99 Preludes received this block. There is also speculation that power was increased to 149 kW (200 bhp) (from 147 kW (197 bhp)).

[edit] H23A1The H23A1 was an increased-stroke, non-VTEC version of the H22a, designed for the North American, European and UK market 1992–1996 Honda Prelude Si. It shared the same Fiber Reinforced Metal (FRM) cylinder wall liners with the H22a.

Specifications

Bore × Stroke: 87.0 mm × 95.0 mm (3.43 in × 3.74 in) Displacement: 2,258 cc (137.8 cu in) Valve Configuration: DOHC, 16 valves Type: In-line 4 cylinder, aluminum block and head Compression ratio: 9.8:1 Max power: 160 hp (119 kW) Max torque: 163ft·lbf (207 Nm) Redline: 6500 rpm Engine Control System: Honda Systems PGM-FI with port fuel injection Valve Gear: belt-driven dual overhead cams, 4 valves per cylinder There is also a DOHC VTEC version of the H23A, available in the CH9 Accord Wagon SiR in Japan which only is available with a automatic triptronic 7 position electronic control 4 speed automatic (S matics). It was also used in the CL2 Accord Wagon which has AWD. This engine came with a blue valve cover.

Specifications

Compression ratio: 10.6:1 Max output : 200 PS (197 hp/147 kW) @ 6800 rpm Max torque : 220 N·m (160 ft·lbf) @ 5300 rpm Redline: 7000 rpm

KA24E KA24E EngineThe KA24E was a SOHC 12-valve engine produced from July 1988 through January 1996. It uses SEFI fuel injection, and features forged steel connecting rods, an internally balanced forged steel crankshaft, and a cast aluminum intake manifold.

[edit] SpecificationsBore × Stroke: 89.0 × 96.0 mm Max power: 140 hp (105 kW) @ 5600 rpm Max torque: 152 ft·lbf (206 Nm) @ 4400 rpm Valve Configuration: SOHC, 12 valves Compression ratio: 8.6:1 (9.1:1 for early 1989 240SX )

[edit] KA24DE KA24DE Engine in a S14 240SXThe 2.4 L (2389 cc) KA24DE was used in many Nissan cars and trucks. Most KA24DEs bound for the US were built in the Mexican city of Aguascalientes, with the exceptions of the 240SX and 1994-97 Altima (rebadged Bluebird SSS), which were manufactured in Fukuoka Prefecture, Japan, and the U13 Bluebird released in Australia with FWD configuration.

[edit] SpecificationsBore × Stroke: 89.0 × 96.0 mm (3.50393 in. x 3.77952 in.) Cubic Inch Displacement: 145cid Max power: 155 hp @ 5600 rpm Max torque: 160 ft·lb @ 4400 rpm Valve Configuration: DOHC, 16 valves Compression ratio: 9.8:1, 9.5:1, 9.3:1

[edit] KA24E+T & KA24DE+TAftermarket turbocharger kits are available for the KA24DE as well as many other Nissan engines. After the engine is turbocharged, it is generally referred to as a KA24DET. The KA24DET was never produced by Nissan. The "T" at the end of the engine code indicates that the engine is turbocharged. The turbocharger is added to increase power in Nissan's 2.4 L DOHC inline 4 engine. Some enthusiasts turbo charge their KA24E (SOHC) and they call it the KA24ET. This was also never produced by Nissan in a turbocharged version. More information on this subject can be found at http://www.ka-t.org

That is always a possibility, I won alot of races at the Philly street races years ago that I shouldnt have won, because people dont know how to drive. Also, if you wanna raise your chances, find a dead straight desolate road, and practice your launches and shifts. You can really kill the competition sometimes just being the better driver. Good luck and like I said, just dont talk yourself or your car up and make it sound all fast, we all know it really isnt.
