I think the late n/a were 9.5:1 but az zbum will know for sure

All z31 N/A's ran a 9.0:1 compression ratio.

Nope. Only on the turbos did it jump from 7.8:1 to 8.3:1 for the 88 models when they changed to the smaller T25 turbo. (only in the North American market it would seem)
