So I took my car on the highway a few months back and after the trip I found I couldn't shift my car into reverse.

By this I mean you can't force it in anyway into gear. Not with the engine on or off, clutch or no clutch; It will not go into gear. The knob just stops and won't budge.

I've asked around alot but can't seem to figure out the problem. I don't think it's the transmission because all the other gears work fine. Could it be shift linkage? Bad shifter bearings?

I have no idea what to look for. Any help would be super.

I suspect you need a transmission. The shift linkage is all internal. You could try taking the shifter out and see what you find, but almost every time I've come across a car that won't go into reverse, a transmission was needed.
