I have a 1989 240sx and I installed a KA24DE a year ago. Last week I barely passed smog and since I passed I want to keep the engine longer.

The summers in sacramento california are not fun because is really hot. So I finally decided to install the AC pump and lines in my 1989 240sx. Now here is a problem.

Today, I tried to install the AC pump out of a 1989 KA24E and the pump screws in right on the block but will not align with the crank pulley. The ac lines screw in right but the ac pump pulley does not align right on my ka24de.

Then I bought the AC pump and lines out of a 1995 240sx and the pump aligns good on the crank pulley but the AC lines will not connect since the flared nuts are bigger than the lines from the chassis.. So which lines can I use? Please help I'm really hot j/k.

Use the pump and lines applicable to the motor you are using.

My car is a 1989. the only two lines that are missing are the ones coming out of the pump.

hmm the lines out of an 1989 ka24e screws in right with the heater core lines and condenser. but the pump does not bolt on right to the block.

I looked at the 1993 lines and the heater core lines are bigger than the ones out of the 1989.

The pump bolts on right. but the lines won't screw in right what can I do?

youll have to get the ENTIRE DOHC system, or, get the lines for both, and take it to a place that makes custom ac lines(polarbear)

I have found a better way. I found this company Called Polar Auto care center and asked them if they could rebuild my ac lines. I paid about 100 bux and built me a set of ac lines that matched my car. If you need help with your aluminum lines they are the proffessionals. Polar Auto Care2430 Harvard StSacramento, CA 95815(916) 923-2323

they customize you aluminum lines professionally with aluminum welders.

so since I couldn't get the ac Lines from a 1995 to fit my 1989 heater core lines I paid Polar Auto Center to cut and aluminum weld the ac lines that I had from my 1989 AC pump and weld the old ones to the 1995 AC pump lines. So right now I have a 1995 S14 AC pump attached to my KA24DE and the 2 custom cut ac lines matching my 1989 chassis ac lines. Today I just recharged the ac and now is blowing really cold! I am loving it.
