1989 240sx transmission problem need help

my friend has a 1989 240sx and recently he had transmission problems wat ever gear he put the car in it wouldnt go anywhere its like all he was doing is reving the car so i told him to change his clutch and he pay some guy to do it and now the gears go in but now he has another problem when he shifts to a gear the car jumps and its weird if anyone knows help m,e solve this problem it would help thanks

Have get under the car and check the pivot fork while you pump the clutch pedal to see if it is disengaging the clutch.

If not, bleed the system and get new master/slave cylinders.
