I've been told many times that my tail lights aren't lighting up. So I take off the panels and find that plastic that holds the screws, that hold the electical connections is melted. Therefore, making little or no connection when I step on the brakes (no lights come up).

Is there anything that I could use in place of the melted plastic that would help hold the screw and connections in place?

Then the other problem is that I took out one of the bulbs and looked at the bottom to see this...

I'm assuming that that isn't normal. Is there anything I should do before putting in new bulbs?.... if I need to that is

Thanks

Common from buying non oem speced bulbs [even big brand names don't always meet specifications].

Always buy bulbs with " LL " version..........they at least are closer to Toshiba.

Try using some epoxy putty from your local hobby store to make that new section of your tail light. Drill a hole for the new screw and use a self tapping screw to hold down that wire.

that and change those sockets and with your old ones, scrape out the junk that builds up at the bottom of them.
