I rebuilt my ka24e, but it has no power. Timing is verified, injectors have been swapped w old ones, switched temp sensors, plugs foul with gas.Idle is good, revs good. Driving up hill doesn't hardly go, on flat, pedal doesn't do much when pressed.

When I put in new plugs and when cold, seems to have great power and acceleration, looses power in just a minute or two of driving. HELP!!

If the plugs are fouling out then you're not getting any spark tot he cylinder. Check the wires and coil.

Since I changed the plugs they have not fouled again, probably was initial timing problem. But I still have no power under load.... checked and replaced fuel regulator, checked throttle position sensor, checked maf, egine dies when disconnected. Removed cat and exhaust, checked temp sensor in hot water, swapped injectors, have good steady vacuum, all new hoses & everything else except sensors. tried several off of old engine which was running when removed... still no power....??? The only thing I dont have back-ups to check with are the o2 sensor, exhaust sensor, and MAF.

Also, does anyone know if the 2 different distributors the ka's came with are interchangeable? I've tried both but still no change. Im using the one that came with the car & ecu.
