Hey all… back again
So I recently put a fueltech in my KA24E and left the chassis harness intact and really didn’t change much. That being said… now since installing the fueltech, none of my marker lights will go off. I followed the FSM and found both wires getting power at the stalk. Followed down. SMJ has power to both pins and so on so forth. FSM doesn’t easily show where the wires go from the SMJ to the battery. I’m wondering if I left out a ground that the old EFI harness connected to? Or if I have a break in a wire somewhere. Seems odd that nothing changed except removing the EFI harness and now my lights will not go off. Also my windows do not go up and down and having issues with the pop headlights going down. They wont go down. Not sure if these are all related or not but it’s worth nothing. I kinda did everything people have said. Traced it back to the SMJ and whatnot. Nothing abnormal easily seen. And help would be greatly appreciated! The only 2 connectors that I know of that the EFI share are the orange and grey ones by the OEM fuse box. I grounded every pin of those out and nothing changed. Not sure where else to go! Thanks in advance

If you have power on both sides of the headlight switch with the switch off, then the problem is one of three things, the switch is bad, the wiring is crossed and bypassing the switch, or the wiring is mixed up and back-powering the circuit through the switch. The lamps are controlled from the high (power) side and there's no relay involved, so it's impossible for a ground to cause them to stay on. Try disconnecting the headlight switch and see if the lights stay on, if they do then that eliminates options 1 and 3.

Yes unplugged, power on both wires. Power on both wires at the SMJ. Unplugging fuses at the kick panel box doesn’t turn them off. I assume I have an issue from the fuse box to the SMJ? Or possibly from fuse box to the battery. I have battery relocated to trunk with a splitter in the engine bay. I have main battery cable, starter cable, 75A Alternator fuse is powered and both headlight fuses are direct to battery on the engine fuse panel. I unplug those fuses and nothing changes. But those wires are all that see the battery power. So maybe the marker lights are on the 75A circuit somehow?

The problem has to be in the wiring south of the switch, it can't be on the battery side. If it was on the supply side the lights would have gone out with the headlight switch disconnected. So you're looking for a short or cross from 12V to the parking lamp circuit someplace between the switch and the lamps. The first thing to do is separate the SMJ and see if the lights go out. That will tell you whether the short is in the cabin or the engine box.
