In my 240sx, I have known about the blown head gasket for a year or so now but havent been driving it since I have other vehicles. The culprit appears to have been a bad fan clutch.

Now all of a sudden though the coolant and oil are mixing it up - in both places - radiator and oil pan, what can I do now and is this just a blown head gasket?

Thanks,Cleako

Honestly, it's impossible say if it's just the head gasket without seeing it. For your sake, I hope that's the case. Your head could possibly be warped/cracked etc. You won't really know until it's pulled apart. It might be a good time to up-grade your engine, but if not you should be able to get a complete ka24e cheap.

If you were in Houston, I could give you a good deal on my 1989 240SX. Heads just redone. Also, brakes and timing chain. Unfortunately, my engine control module has gone bad. Other than that, car in great shape. Looking for a good Jeep.

yeah sounds like a blown headgasket to me. Although it's usually from the coolant to the oil that you'll see the mix, but it's not impossible if the blow gets big enough.

may be the timing chain guides are kaput & the chain ate thru the water jackets in the timing cover

soo, check that cover as well when you're tearing it apart! GL!
