yes, nissans rock. honda's are great also. 240 just has more torque, thats why you beat the honda. honda's dont know what torque is.

ahh they are both slow as piss. Welcome to the boards man.

the 240sx is just like the civic...stock they aren't anything to brag about, but once you begin modding..the sky is the limit :D

Oh and i think the 240sx looks better but that's about it when it's stock for stock..

Even stock for stock the nissan has so many things that make it better than a civic. Mainly the fact that torque steer's a ******.

who cares if they were slow, they were evenly matched so it's entertaining. Look at it this way, slow cars take longer to reach top speed or the agreed upon distance so you have more time to enjoy the race. Heck I'll race a riding lawnmower if my neighbor want's to bring his punk Toro out of the garage and step up!

I like the old school VW's, Herby the Love Bug owns all. Seriously, I am not a fan of the new VW Bug, but I doubt that VW designed it just for me. Before I bought my Altima, I wanted to buy a Jetta. We drag race with a guy that has a modded TDI. Unfortunately he couldn't beat Repoman when we raced at IRP (Indianapolis Raceway Park). He has made some more mods but not to worry. I will own him in my WRX.Newyork240, do you have a VW?

Hehe, I edged his TDI out by a tenth in the quarter, so what does he do? He takes a Sawsall to his factory exhuast system and rigs up a straight pipe hillbilly style.

What's really funny is the amount of money he has sunk into his car. Over $20k including purchase price of around $16k. I think he's up to $22k now including his mods. And he still leaves a big, black roostertail of exhaust fumes when he throttles it. I call him "pigpen".

I can still take him off the line, but with no exhaust restriction now and much more boost, he pulls on the top end. Oh well, I guess it's actually time to make a mod or two beyond intake and exhaust! :D

This past year in my region's Solo2 STS a '89 Civic Si whipped our *** (actually it was a 3 way tie goin into the last event between a 200sx SE and a 2.5RS). I am always 1 second behind the guy. The damn car is soo light and underpowered, all he does is keep the gas pedal on the floor and turn. I actually have to brake and ease into the gas. Although, on the track I killed him, beat him by 3 seconds on a 1.7 miles road course.:D This year he is moving to a DX chassis w/ the Si motor, so he'll lose another 50 lbs and be around 1900lbs. I'm gonna step up with some 225/50-15 BFG KDs.
