I have a Nissan 240SX 1989, first no lights were working only the parking lights and the alarm would sound and lock the doors. The harness on the back inside the trunk were the brake lights are was all broken, so I took the light bulbs and the wiring off and made a harness myself. One of the two brake light switches was broken so I replaced it.

There was a ground wire on the chassis but it wasn't connected so I just left it there.

Now I have brake lights, signal lights, hazard lights... but NO parking lights and the alarm stopped working. When I turn on the front lights they do turn on but not the ones in the back. No fuses blown. I did switch the fuse to a 20amp cuz it's blown two 15amps. Before I took off the harness I checked the connection on the car and it had current, but now when I check it, there is no current passing thru their anymore.
Need help

Hi,
Unfortunately with electrical gremlins, its super difficult to diagnose online. The best I can do is say to check out the electrical sections of your generation 240 in the factory service manuals.

Looks like 1990 is more readily available. It should all be the same.
