1989 1990 Manual Transmission rebuild thread? Is there one?

I might pic up an old transmission from a 90 240sx for pretty much nothing, thought it would be neat to crack it open and possibly even rebuild it. Thats if its not grenaded beyond all recognition.

Is there a detailed rebuild thread? I'm trying to locate one...

Not really any rebuilds threads out there. Reason being it's cheaper to buy a used one than tryin to rebuild one. I searched a while back and there's not any aftermarket gears to buy to put in either. So no luck changing any ratios for any specific gears. Easier to play around with final drive gears.

yes, the gear sets alone demand quite the handsome sum if you're looking for a performance aftermarket gear set as well.

i read somewhere that you can use third and fourth gear out of a KA frontier transmission. dont hold me to this but i read it here on NICO.
