1988 vg30i w/TBI. Engine Temp. Sensor ?

I am getting a code 13 (eng. temp. sensor). It's a 1988 SE-V6 King Cab.

That thing, way down behind the front covers; Is that the sensor?

How should I handle this problem? Is it really necessary to take off, all those parts?

I've never had to replace one. Can you get any pictures of waht you're talking about? Location wise is what I mean.

Here is a pic. The sensor connector is pale orange, just above center. It is just to the left side of the dist. , but way out of reach.



This is as close, as the camera will manage.

I posted, with this problem, in the Engine Specific forum, as well.

Here is a pic. of the front of the engine; minus the raditor, fan, AC belt and tensioner pulley (and it's heavy bracket). This is probably the only way to get the sensor out.
